Tambaya is part of the well known Rumukia Society; membership means that it benefits directly from the management and social programs implemented by this quality and socially focused cooperative. Membership of the society is however optional; annually a vote is taken by all members of the washing station regarding which, if any, society it wishes to align with. Over the years we’ve had some excellent coffees from factories within the Rumukia society and are pleased to be able to feature another washing stations coffee from this progressive, forward thinking society.

 


BREWING GUIDE 

 

This Peaberry brews exceptionally well as a Kalita Wave. Try a dose of 18g of freshly ground coffee, brewed with 280ml of freshly boiled, filter water. Aim for an extraction time of 2:30 minutes, which should deliver a crisp, delicate cup. We’re in love with this season Tambaya; It’s packed full of fresh fruit flavours, think cherry and apricot. These fruit notes are contrasted with an intriguing finish, similar to peppermint tea. This coffee really opens up as it cools, so take your time and savor!
