Forging relationships directly with farmers at origin and negotiating fairer prices for coffee has always been top on our agenda at Caravan Coffee Roasters. We are particularly proud to support charities like Project Waterfall in their mission to provide clean, safe drinking water, sanitation and education to coffee-growing communities.

Since 2011, Project Waterfall has raised over £1 million, changing over 37,000 lives in Nicaragua, Tanzania, Rwanda, Vietnam, Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia.

During UK Coffee Week, Caravan will be taking part in a number of initiatives, to support Project Waterfall's commitment to Ethiopia with a new four-year project in partnership with WaterAid that will reach over 10,000 people.

Donate with us + the following will go directly to Project Waterfall:

☕ 20p from every coffee sold across our five Caravan restaurants
☕ 50p from every bag of Werka Wuri sold, both online and in store
☕ Find a ‘tap to donate’ contactless terminal at all sites to donate £3 instantly.

Werka Wuri, one of our favourite coffees from Ethiopia makes a triumphant return to our cups, and is our focused coffee for UK Coffee Week.  Werka in the Gedio language translates as ‘Gold’, and Wuri translates as ‘High Altitude’, an apt naming for the superlative quality produced by the farmers in this community.
